The Art of Photography Course
Photography isn’t just about taking a technically correct image—it’s about seeing, feeling, and creating with intention. This course is designed for photographers who want to move beyond the surface and develop a deeper, more creative approach to their work. It’s not about rigid rules or formulas, but about learning how to see, how to experiment, and how to create photographs that actually mean something to you.
This isn’t a step-by-step guide to mastering your camera settings. You’ll learn the core of photography, of course, but the real focus is on finding your artistic voice, training your eye, and developing confidence in your creative process. Through a mix of education, practical exercises, and real-world application, you’ll start looking at photography in a completely new way.
What You’ll Learn
The Foundations of Photography – The differences between digital and film, how each medium influences your approach, and how to choose the right tools for your vision.
Cultivating Creativity – How to train yourself to see, push through creative ruts, and find inspiration from everyday life, film, painting, and beyond.
Composition & Storytelling – How to use framing, light, colour, and movement to create images that are intentional and compelling.
Understanding Light – How to work with natural light, adapt to different conditions, and use light creatively to shape mood and emotion.
Shooting Techniques & Experimentation – Playing with slow shutter, motion blur, film stocks, filters, and unconventional techniques to bring texture and depth into your work.
Directing & Posing – Moving beyond stiff, awkward poses to capture authentic emotion and connection with intuitive prompting techniques.
Portfolio Curation & Personal Brand – How to refine your portfolio, build a body of work that reflects your vision, and attract the right clients.
Who This Is For
This course is for photographers who want to create with more intention. Whether you’re just starting out or have been shooting for years, if you’re feeling stuck, uninspired, or like your work is missing something, this will help you reconnect with what drew you to photography in the first place.
This isn’t about teaching you how to replicate someone else’s style. It’s about helping you find your own way of seeing—and learning how to translate that into images that actually feel like yours.

Meet Your Educator
I’m Celeste, a photographer, educator, and mother, passionate about helping photographers develop their artistic voice, refine their craft, and build a creative practice that feels true to them.
For me, photography is about creating work I love and constantly exploring new ideas. I completed my Bachelor of Creative Arts in Photography in 2017, was invited to pursue Honours in Creative Arts Photography, and later studied a Master of Teaching, combining my understanding of photography with the skills to teach it in a way that’s practical, and engaging.
Five years ago, I started my photography business with the goal of being home with my babies while doing work that fuels me creatively and is financially sustainable. I know firsthand the challenge of balancing art and business, and I want to help photographers build a process that keeps them creatively fulfilled while making photography work for them.
I don’t teach a one-size-fits-all approach — I teach a way of seeing, thinking, and creating that allows you to push your own boundaries. Whether you’re here to build your skills, develop your style, or find confidence in your creative process, I’ll guide you through the tools and mindset that will help you create with intention and purpose.
